How to study road signs
Learn signs by shape and color, not just by reading names:
- Red octagon — STOP (the only stop sign shape).
- Yellow diamond — warning of a hazard ahead (curve, merge, narrow road).
- Upside-down triangle — YIELD (slow down, give way).
- Orange diamond — construction / work zone warning.
- Pentagon (yellow) — school zone / school crossing.
- Circle with red border — regulatory: prohibition or speed limit.
- White lines — separate lanes in the same direction; yellow lines — opposite directions.
